Can't believe it's been a week already... we are so happy with how Macy's lip is looking. It's been a week of torture for Macy, as we have had to put peroxide and antibiotic cream on her lip twice a day, but then again she has gotten a lot of popsicles out of it. On Saturday all of Macy's stitches finally dissolved or came out (we think it's a little of both since every day after Macy's nap more would disappear).
Macy had her follow up appointment with Dr. Davis on Friday and all is well (and her total number of stitches was 10). We are super impressed with Dr. Davis and are so grateful to him. We talked to Macy before the appointment about what was going to happen but as soon as she saw the doctor she lost it. We took Macy to the park after the visit since we didn't let her go for obvious reasons and you would have thought she had never been to a park she was so excited.
And an update about the plastic surgeon office that never called the ER back... they never called me back either. NEVER GO TO DR. RHODES OR DR. PETERSON! Who knows what happened. All I know is that they have the worst service in the world. It doesn't matter to me how good they may be, they are pretty low in my book.
A little swelling and healing going on still, but it looks as if Macy will look like herself in no time! Macy's lip line looks so good, I am pleasantly surprised.
